The physiology and behavior of marine organisms provide many paths for both scientific and artistic exploration.

My art celebrates the beauty of marine organisms and ecosystems, but to do so I must understand their inner workings from a biological standpoint.

Through ecological studies focused on marine invertebrates, I gain artistic inspiration and learn to view sculpture from a scientific perspective.

Perhaps if my work can influence others to appreciate the fragile beauty of our endangered marine ecosystems, we will care more about conserving them.
